The mission of A Mother's Foundation is to combat the growing digital divide, by providing to our struggling neighborhoods and families much-needed access and resources to laptops, high-speed connectivity, health care & affordable housing. These basic human necessities are lacking in our underrepresented communities, neighborhoods, schools, and hospitals.
A Mother's Foundation will accomplish this by providing the following programs, services, ongoing training, and support:
1) Providing Chromebooks, laptops, tablets, and connectivity to kids, youth, and struggling families.
2) Primary care and mental health care services.
3. Upscale housing solutions.
Providing immediate access to these needed resources and providing training, and ongoing support. We can level the playing field and give our struggling families, neighborhoods, and communities a fighting chance and build an equitable economy and a sanctuary in the home.
My name is Eric Tua'one Lautaha, the Chief Executive Officer & President. I was born in Sugarhouse, UT. to a single mother who immigrated from the friendly islands of Tonga. At 4 years old, my mother, struggling from a deep depression, ended her life. Her mother and family took me in and raised me.
I started this nonprofit charity to uplift and encourage struggling families and individuals that have been or are in the same, similar, or worse position that my mother and our little family were in.
I want to provide these families and individuals with hope and the actionable skills that they can overcome their circumstances and life's challenges. That through our innovative technology programs individuals, families, communities can learn how to use those experiences and create a beautiful life.
My purpose and mission are to give back to our schools, neighborhoods, hospitals, and communities. As well as give back to those who provide life to all; and ultimately have the greatest influence on our future... Mothers and Women.
My mission is two-fold.
I firmly believe that we need to combat and address income disparity, socio-economic, and educational challenges that hold our hospitals, communities, neighborhoods, and households back. It is also critical to take into account those suffering from mental health and/or illness as well as other life-altering sickness and diseases.
Addressing this two-part mission brings actual positive change. This change will affect our children, young people, schools, neighborhoods, communities, hospitals, and homes. More importantly, this change gives back to those who give us life, direction, and influence; mothers and women.
Completing our mission will be difficult. Working together and arming our struggling families with technology resources, access, continued support and training that they desperately need is essential for our struggling communities survival.
This start will improve their situation and break the chains of dependency. It will require much focus, dedication, and a whole lot of service from all of us.
No human being should feel like there is no hope for a better life. Everyone should have equal access & resources to personal growth, support, recovery, and economic opportunity.
Our amazing team of diverse individuals brings a unique and broad set of skills, life experiences, passions, and personalities.
Our people are committed to helping others that are less fortunate or struggling and may not have the same type of access to resources or opportunities.
Our team members use their talents to help deliver the best technology, skilled workshops, and retreats. Giving our schools, neighborhood communities, mother's and women a fighting chance.
